Operation Lean On Me — Community Helping Community
Kratom Danger Awareness is honored to highlight Operation Lean On Me, a Cleveland-area nonprofit founded by Nicole Matlus and dedicated to helping individuals and families experiencing hardship.
Their work reaches people affected by poverty, homelessness, addiction, unemployment and other difficult circumstances. Through community outreach, Operation Lean On Me has helped provide food, clothing, school supplies and other essential resources while bringing connection and compassion to people who may otherwise feel forgotten.
From Thanksgiving meals and winter coats for children to supporting families in crisis and visiting elderly community members, their mission reflects a simple but powerful idea:

For far too long, unscrupulous smoke shops, vape shops and other retailers have profited from selling dangerous and potentially addictive products, including kratom and its derivatives.
These products are often marketed as natural, harmless, or safe alternatives, while families across America are left dealing with addiction, devastating health consequences, and the heartbreaking loss of loved ones.
That is why joining forces matters.
The Tabacco Law Enforcement Network, led by Executive Director Rich Marianos, works alongside law enforcement agencies and lawmakers to address illegal vape retailors, strengthen enforcement, and protect communities from dangerous and unlawful.. retail practices.
Kratom Danger Awareness brings the voices of grieving families, individuals affected by kratom addiction, and advocates fighting for stronger legislation, accountability, and a complete ban on kratom, including natural leaf, mitragynine , 7 hydroxymitragynine, and all related derivates.
